I know I say this often, but time is really flying. I’m not one for resolutions, but I do believe in setting attainable goals to look forward to! This year, we are manifesting the best vibes, good health and a year full of happiness. Now that we’re about one week into the New Year, I wanted to take a moment to talk about the past year and share some of my favorite trips, recipes and items with you all. These are things we can bring into the new year with love and light. Wishing you all the best year yet!
In the fall, I went on a trip to Charleston, SC! There was a lot to learn about this historic town and I made amazing new friends. Shopping was done and amazing food was had. Read all about it here! We’ll be heading to the French Alps, Paris and Morocco in a couple of weeks, so stay tuned to see everything we do, see and eat on our travels!
You already know I need some pink in my life! Every time LoveShackFancy has a drop, I run to check it out. The vintage look is something I’ve really embraced in the past year. My go-to look has to be a vintage-inspired floral dress with platform heels. We can’t forget heart shaped earrings, it’s my staple accessory because they are so darling and go with everything!

My favorite meal to cook this week has been eggplant parm. I actually have an entire blog post dedicated to the recipe and instructions, which you can see here! The entire family loves it and it’s super easy to make, especially on a busy week night!
The biggest lesson I learned in 2022 is to not take time for granted. My kids are growing up so quickly and family time is more important than anything! At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is that we have each other. There are no other people I would rather get to spend each day with and travel the world, making new memories with!
I like to choose a new book to read each month! Not only is it such good time to myself, but it’s a nice escape from reality. The book of the month this month, is Twenty Minutes in Manhattan by Michael Sorkin. A man lives in Manhattan and is only a 20 minute walk, stopping to simply notice life. Take in the daily things he never really takes a moment to pay attention to and appreciate it all. This book is all about stopping and taking life in and I think that’s honestly a great goal to have this year.
Get the Book
This had to be the most difficult category to narrow down. I think what it all really came down to was what I got the most use out of. It’s nice to have practical items that are good quality. Things we will have for awhile, shall I say. So here we have a few household items, including my favorite vacuum– and no, it’s not a Dyson! As well as my go-to pots and pans that are brand new with a gold handle! It’s the little things that excite me! We’ll finish the year off with my favorite puffer coat and work out pieces.
